Conclusion
First off one thing must be made clear- there is nothing wrong
with Ceramique, it has proven itself to be a power and cost effective thermal
compound. But for only a few dollars more you can have Arctic Silver 5, which is
more or less the best compound on the market. People spend so much money on the
best CPU cooler and to cram all the case fans possible in their case but for
just a few dollars you can apply some AS5 and make a few degree drop in your
mean CPU temperature.
I have been trying hard to think of sometime negative to say about
AS5 but there is not really anything that can be improved with it. It is easily
to apply, inexpensive, and effective. [Maybe it could have cooler looking
packaging? I am thinking all neon, straight out of 1985 or maybe a few
well-placed rhinestones...]
As for Ceramique it is very inexpensive, works well, and can be
applied without problems, though not as easily as AS5. Also I found that
Ceramique tend to be harder to clean off the CPU and heatsink than AS5.

[ we'd like to send a huge thanks out to arctic
silver for making this review possible and for being the official thermal
compound supplier of xyz computing]
